Derrick in New Zealand. Sunday, April 22, 2007. Pie day in new zealand! Anyways, I baked a kiwi lime pie (no key limes in New Zealand, go fig! Everyone liked it and a key lime pie fan said it was great! Lori is our master in-house baker so she outdid herself and baked 3 gorgeous pies that looked so professional. The weather was a bit wintery upon arrival, but it was still relatively warm compared to Melbourne or Wellington. Derrick in New Zealand. Friday, June 29, 2007. More Than Meets the Eye! The opening credit that says "A Michael Bay Film" actually only helps this movie a lot. You know why? All in all, I had a blast and couldn't stop talking like Optimus Prime for the rest of the night. I also saw Kevin and Kristin's names in the animator credits, which is awesome! Derrick in New Zealand. Saturday, May 26, 2007. New Car and Met Peter Jackson! So this past week was a pretty busy one at work and a lot of cool things happened. My six-month lease on my old nissan ended (zoiks, I've been here for just over six months already! For $4450 New Zealand dollars! Second big thing happened on Friday, when I got the opportunity to watch the WWI short film "Crossing the Line", directed by Peter Jackson, using the new digital 4K "RED" cameras. He said thanks and shook my hand!
