Had the in-laws in town for a long weekend, so headed to Estes Park the day. Glad we made it, because less than 2 weeks later the rains came. Got back to doing a little bit of pedaling, headed up Mt Evergreen after work. Finished up work early, so checked out Bergen Peak after a cold spell and found perfect conditions. Got in some good pedaling this week, along with some more finishing touches in the basement. Last Saturday got a bit warm, but we escaped the LoB before the trails got muddy. Thursday eve brought around a different take on GM, as led by Bobby. A bit of chaos ensued, and the group got split up a few times, but all was well in the end. Sunday brought us back once again to another glorious Single-track Sunday Service, this week at at 3Sis. Round 1, top of Evergreen Mt. Pit Stop #2, Mt Mulhy. Eye of the storm.

Spring was in the air, so time to get some shreddin' done! Hit all the local faves: White Ranch, Bergen Peak, Deer Crik, 3 Sisters and even did the Falcon/LoB loop. Easter Sunday Singletrack Service. Evergreen Mt is always fun. I had been jonesing badly to ride the big bike, so I decided to make the grunt up Bergen Peak with it. Got almost to the top, but turned around b/c of the snow drift in the final 1/2 mile. Wasn't as horrendous as I was expecting. Hauled 42# of DH bike up to the top of Bergen Peak.

Monday, August 25, 2008. Finally got a chance to ride the Williams Fork Loop! A new friend and I were able to get this loop completed yesterday. We opted to drive over Jones Pass and start from the Bobtail Mine. This cuts out about 5,000 feet of climbing-half at the beginning and half at the end-and alleviates the fear of getting caught on the wrong side of the pass if a thunderstorm pops up. Saturday, August 1, 2009. Argentine- Lenawee- Loveland Loop. I was shocked on the drive up to see so much snow on Bard Peak, Torrey's and even a little on Lenawee Ridge. I was glad I threw my winter hat and a pair of long underwear in my pack before I left. Within a couple of hours, we were within sight of the top of the climb (Argentine Pass).
