Kreggly: Unemployed
http://kreggly.blogspot.com/2011/01/unemployed.html
Thursday, January 20, 2011. Sigh I have now faced it, and it is true. I am unemployed. I want to sit with it a while longer, which is foreign to me in itself, however the US immigration nightmare, the lack of unemployment insurance entitlement (even though I paid into it), and no health care coverage, motive me to find a job. We have an emergency fund for this eventuality, so strangely the lack of money is not the primary concern. 4 KKZ and V. January 20, 2011 at 11:35 AM. View my complete profile.

Mya's Blog: Bothering the Boys
http://myaleelive.blogspot.com/2010/12/bothering-boys.html
Saturday, December 04, 2010. Mya has a way of getting under the boys' skin. She likes to shorten or "cuten" their names. Bye Naffy" (for Nathan) or "Come here Konnie" (for Konor) and there's one boy in particular she has a running competition with. Bye Josh, Bosh" is how it started. Followed by "Joshie" and "Joshity" to which Josh fired back "Bye Myaty". Watermark template. Powered by Blogger.

Thinking Allowed: To Be Sated
http://cmlcoaching.blogspot.com/2011/01/to-be-sated.html
A stay-at-home Canadian Mom living in Alabama with an internal landscape begging to be shared. Sunday, January 23, 2011. I allowed something as mundane as money, something as shameful as ambition, to change everything irrevocably and not in a good way - indeed, in the worst way. But I was young and idealistic. I was proud and wanted more, not understanding then that more is always less if you can't be sated. Dr Kay Scarpetta in Port Mortuary. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Lee Family Blogs.

Thinking Allowed: Death of the Protestant Work Ethic
http://cmlcoaching.blogspot.com/2011/02/death-of-protestant-work-ethic.html
A stay-at-home Canadian Mom living in Alabama with an internal landscape begging to be shared. Friday, February 4, 2011. Death of the Protestant Work Ethic. I've been witness to a death I do believe.the idea that if you work hard and work well you'll be rewarded is fading away. Of course, Craig's termination at Sanmina SCI is bold evidence that we live in a work world that is unfair. I had, however, been noticing the baffling dissolution for some time. There are a couple of things that are true now and I...

Mya's Blog: Try New Food Tuesdays
http://myaleelive.blogspot.com/2010/12/try-new-food-tuesdays.html
Friday, December 17, 2010. Try New Food Tuesdays. Some show on tv had the concept of "try new food Tuesdays" and both kids have eagerly adopted it in our home. They are so into it, we now often have "try new food Sundays, Saturdays and Thursdays" too. Star fruit above warranted a "not bad, not good" grade from Lucas and a definitive "yuck" from Mya. Smoked oysters, pomegranates, pickled asparagus, kiwi, brie . loads of new things have found their way into our house. I couldn't be prouder.

Kreggly: Biscotti Experiment
http://kreggly.blogspot.com/2011/01/biscotti-experiment.html
Saturday, January 22, 2011. Mya and I decided to make cookies yesterday. She wanted white chocolate in them. We found some raw almonds in the cupboard too, and settled on Biscotti after sampling some store bought cookies we found. Googling, "Chocolate Almond Biscotti Recipe", we settled on this. Kreggly: Daytime Running Lights
http://kreggly.blogspot.com/2011/08/daytime-running-lights.html
Thursday, August 11, 2011. Another speed bump in the road to our Canadian re-repatriation is the installation of daytime running lights in our vehicles. This means that when the car is in motion, even in the daytime, lights must be on. The argument is this is for safety, and yes it has some logic to it, especially at the witching hour, right before the sun goes down. Headlights 1 2 3. Off H H H. Low L H H. High H L H. Kreggly: Cheese Louise
http://kreggly.blogspot.com/2011/06/cheese-louise.html
Tuesday, June 21, 2011. So I was at Target the other day and was to pick up a 2# block of sharp cheddar as I commonly do, especially such as it is, a universal ingredient, and does not require a great degree of effort to feed a starving bachelor who should be applying his time to packing and house repair instead of Culinary Repartee. I digress. I was struck at once with the dizzying selection of sharp cheeses by Cabot Creamery. Cabot Creamery is of the state of Vermont. Surprisingly good. Crumbly in ...

Kreggly: The Distribution of Loose Change - A Thought Experiment
http://kreggly.blogspot.com/2011/06/distribution-of-loose-change-thought.html
Sunday, June 5, 2011. The Distribution of Loose Change - A Thought Experiment. Well here I am at our Alabama retreat. I can't call it our home anymore as Catherine, Mya, Lucas, Ella, Russel, Fluff, JJ, SkyHigh, and Skyla, are in Canada and settling in well. This post is more of a distraction, although, granted, it may sound like a crying out for help. "Dogbert, please save me! Ok, now that the Creationists are gone, lets get down to business. I derived all this from here. 0 cents - no coins. Now I have 2...
