We have a very good Macpac Mineret tent, but for some reason my sleeping bag had been getting wet. So once again a clothes-line was strung and my down-bag hung. A water bottle leaking in a pannier, no low gears, handle bars locking up, not enough warm clothes, morning ice and much, much higher mountains than expected. We also came across quaint streams, birds of prey, quiet villages, glorious downhills and great steak. Day 1 Mountain Mist and Burbling Brooks. Day 2 Lonely Roads and Hectic Highways.

The service was gruff and the coffee was rough. However all the locals greeted us, the barman though gruff was nice to us. We only stopped to buy a coffee because we needed the toilet. However we also managed to dry out tent in their warm undercover outdoor setting. For tired cyclist this is a must stop for the experience.

Book 1: From Jerusalem to Europe: AD 70-1730 Redefining the Kingdom and Marginalizing the Spirit One God One Plan One Story. I really enjoyed this book. My church history knowledge was quite limited. Reading this felt like falling off a cliff to be rescued by quicksand. However it was a good, thorough read often nicely written. The book could do with a good edit.
