This was well attended and many people spoke all too lovingly about their suffering on their crossing and expressed surprise and support that the Club continued in its “New Format”. Osmotherley is today best known as a centre for walking and other leisure pursuits. It is the starting point for the famous 42 mile Lyke Wake Walk over the moors to Ravenscar.
