Scott Family Stories: June 2015
http://rebeccascott.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Tuesday, June 9, 2015. Evan's been out of preschool for a few weeks now and to say we've kept busy is an understatement. I'm not sure where those lazy days of summer lay, but we have enjoyed the freedom to be out and about with a more flexible schedule. Thankfully, my boys do busy well. After we came back from Pennslyvania for the wedding, we had a fun week of new hair cuts, ice cream playdates and having friends over our house. Here's a proud boy rocking his new "Stegosaurus spike.". That face.I die!

I'm open to better suggestions! I'm giving myself $50 for "sidetracked".because I'm a realist. I set a budget of $350 for the month-that's four weeks for a family of four. T May...

As an aside, we have a lot of those lol! Engaged kids= thankful me! From the library and after a quick detour to Kohls, we made our way to a favorite family lunch spot-Pei Wei! I loo...

Monday, August 3, 2015. What curriculum are you using? It's a common question, with a not so common answer. As I'm learning in homeschool circles, there are likely as many answers to that question as there are individual homeschools! There's a sea of choices and different methods of teaching out there, and add to that a great amount of books and resources dedicated to helping you evaluate those choices and what would work best for you. Read. Enter "The Well Trained Mind" to the rescue! So here are my hum...

Scott Family Stories: April 2015

Monday, April 27, 2015. 5 years and counting. Can we take a mommy moment of silence for the fact that this boy is 5 years old? I mean I know how it happened, I was there for every good, bad and in between day of it. Still, it seems surreal that we've got an upcoming Kindergartener on our hands. I'm just not ready for the next stage of legos(insert scary music here! No doubt we'll take some time to really enjoy each present once the birthday jitters wear down. We were sad to miss Grandma, but had a wonder...
