AOSA Presidents since 1888. There are now three History sections. The first, AOSA Presidents, contains photographs of all but seven Association Presidents from 1888. All Superintendents, Headmasters and Headmistresses from 1841 until the School's closure in 1997 are pictured here. The original School history was written by George and Ralph Dixon, and published for the 1891 Jubilee. This book is now online. Hosted by Manannan's Web.

Sadly much of the School that we knew and loved has been demolished and those parts still standing has now been converted into private homes. To many of us, however, the heart of the School lay in the Meeting House, which remains and is used both by Ayton Friends and the community in Great Ayton. Fund raising will be continued even though the alterations are complete - mainly as costs have now risen and expenditure will be approximately 20,000 over budget - and therefore contributions from visitors to th...

Ayton School Photographic Archives. A choice of five pages - mostly from the very early 1900s but finishing with Leven Hall. Photo's of the Beck and Teachers' Terrace from the early 1900s onwards - plus snow and floods and quite a lot more. A selection of photographs from the early 1900s depicting life in a variety of classrooms. In 1927 the School issued an eight-page Prospectus for prospective parents - a fascinating read which has been reproduced as closely as possible to the original .
