Happy Every Day: Vibes
http://happyeverysingleday.blogspot.com/2011/10/vibes.html
Saturday, 1 October 2011. The ‘music room’. When it feels right . it feels right. Morgan likes music. Getting her to practice is sometimes difficult, but now she has her saxophone it’s the opposite. She has the vibes. She wants to keep on practising. Now Morgan is playing all her instruments more frequently. Instead of getting her to start playing, I have to ask her to stop. Playing as she wants to go on for hours. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Lucid Sword of Opacity by P.D. Gourlais.

Happy Every Day: October 2011
http://happyeverysingleday.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, 13 October 2011. Days are busy. They are always packed with things to do, places to go and people to see. That’s why it is so wonderful to take time out to make more beautiful memories. After school one day this week we spent the evening baking and tasting our creations. This time we had created puff pastry apple turnovers and mince rolls (makes a change from sausage rolls, don’t you think? They were delicious and didn’t last very long. A tad generous with the dusting of the icing sugar . Holdi...

Happy Every Day: Nighmares
http://happyeverysingleday.blogspot.com/2010/11/nighmares.html
Wednesday, 10 November 2010. You may look at the title of this blog and think that I have posted it incorrectly. Surely, you may say, nothing about nightmares can make for a happy thought? I too was more or less of that mindset before a recent incident. My daughter (DM) like myself is blessed with being able to sleep undisturbed through most nights. This smooth pattern of rest was disturbed the other day . or rather the other night. When I got to her bed she was shaking, sobbing and hyperventilating.

Happy Every Day: December 2011
http://happyeverysingleday.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 6 December 2011. I have High connections! My daughter has the constant ability to make me laugh. And I am always jotting down her amusing sayings somewhere . In one such moment the other week, as I stifled some laughter and reached for a pen, she turned to me and said, “You must be God’s best friend . you write everything that I say down! Thursday, 1 December 2011. 8220;When you show up things happen.”. Nevertheless, today I turned up. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Holding hands with someone is a ...

Happy Every Day: February 2012
http://happyeverysingleday.blogspot.com/2012_02_01_archive.html
Monday, 13 February 2012. DM is happier than ever at the moment. The reason for her happiness? She’s finally got the haircut she’s wanted. For ages, for years. Over the past few months she had ramped up the pressure on me with constant questions about the percentage chance she had of getting it done. 8220;Has it gone up yet? 8221; she’d ask me in the morning. The same question would greet me as I met her from school. I agreed and the deed was done. DM is happy, that’s all good. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Happy Every Day: November 2011
http://happyeverysingleday.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, 17 November 2011. We are a network of humanity. Some of our connections are predetermined before our birth, others we make ourselves. If we were to stop and look at our family tree we’d see all manner of people that we are related to; some we see and love every day, some we don’t know, some we wish we didn’t know because they make us sad. The ones who make us glad should hear . “I’m glad you’re in my family! I am fortunate to have connections, very strong connections, all around my heart. I do ...

Happy Every Day: January 2012
http://happyeverysingleday.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Friday, 20 January 2012. It took a while for my daughter to get into a regular reading habit, now she can’t seem to stop. She says, with a mischievous smile, that she is like I was when I was younger (note to self: stop telling DM stories about boundary breaking habits like reading under the bedcovers when I should be sleeping). I am still called on to read to her on occasion. And when I can, I do. It seems to give us both great pleasure. And relax . my crown is still in place. Wednesday, 18 January 2012.

Happy Every Day: August 2011
http://happyeverysingleday.blogspot.com/2011_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, 11 August 2011. Different things - same result. Seeing my daughter having fun. Just enjoying different experiences! How great to have an every interested mind. Wonderful. Thursday, 4 August 2011. At basketball camp Morgan didn’t win any of the big prizes but she did gain a new title. Although Morgan was not chosen as a spokesperson she said that there was a point when one of the coaches asked a question and nobody had anything to say. She recalled that she was burning to say something, so s...

Happy Every Day: June 2011
http://happyeverysingleday.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Monday, 20 June 2011. The British summer is upon us. That means sun and showers but no combination of those weather forces prevent either Wimbledon matches or Morgan weekend walks. Our latest ventures took us to previously unknown places. We have a few regular haunts and after a pleasant time at one country park I said, “Let’s go on an adventure. We’ll go somewhere new.”. With excitement I allowed DM to choose the direction we took at each junction. 8220;Straight over,” was the next choice. Light bulb mo...
