Voor het eerst thuis opnamen van Maxwell Street gemaakt. Ik heb voor de opnames een Korg D888 gebruikt in combinatie met een Røde NT1-A. We hebben onze instrumenten ingeplugd en hieronder staat het resultaat. Van de laatste CD van Cuby. Moet je beslist kopen, een echte aanrader! Let op het koortje in het voorlaatste couplet……Backing vocals Joep en Jaap(! Rufus Thomas laat z’n hondje uit? Waar blijft nou dat fluitje?

Bassist Joep Schaper is medeoprichter van de in 1980 gestarte “Seatbelts”, de voorloper van de Automatic Blues Band. Destijds nog in de rol van gitarist. Deze band bestond toen uit Stef Eijkelenkamp (ook nu nog lid van de ABB), Arno van den Brink, Peter Kroeze. Een paar jaar later en aan aantal ledenwisselingen verder besloot Joep te gaan bassen. Vooral in het begin was het wennen. Hij miste het gitaar spelen wel. Joep zingt ook: tweede stem en af en toe zelfs de lead zang. Beïnvloed is Joep door het lui...
