Intelligent Systems and Automation Lab. The JayWalker Testbed is a three legged, two-dimensional biped walking robot. It is used to study rough and unstructured terrain locomotion. The two-dimensional walking is achieved by coupling the two outside legs together, so when looking from a side view the robot appears to have only two legs. Kraft Scout Mobile Robot. The Microbot is a table top six axis robot manipulator arm. This arm is ideal for developing new position and force control strategies. The Actua...

Intelligent Systems and Automation Lab. The Intelligent Systems and Automation Lab spans 760 square feet of lab space in Learned Hall, University of Kansas, Lawrence KS. This space is dedicated for student office space and mechatronic research experimentation testbeds. For circuit development of mechatronic systems, two electronic workbenches are available with grounded worktops. There is a compressed air line running into the lab to allow for the development of pneumatic systems.
