The Heart of St. Gianna. Let us love the Cross and let us remember that we are not alone in carrying it. God is helping us. How did I get here? September 15, 2013. Amazing Grace was the hymn sung during communion this morning. When they got to the last verse, I started to cry. When we’ve been there ten thousand years. Bright shining as the sun. We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise. Than when we’ve first begun. How do I give them hope when I come and go from their lives, just like everyone else has?

It felt like what I imagine the Church is supposed to be, a community that comes together both in times of sadness and of joy, with Christ always at the center. December 21, 2013.
