2012 :: 1 | Peaceable Imperatrix

https://peaceableimperatrix.wordpress.com/2012/01/11/2012-1

Because if I were in charge of the world, it would be a GREAT place…. I’ve got a new favorite kitchen tool. It’s often overlooked, and most people don’t even use it. But you should — you really should. It is an ice cube tray. Really. I’ve been using mine for pesto for many years — in fact, I even blogged about it. I don’t know what made me think of the ice cube tray, but I am glad I did! 8230; I wonder what else I can freeze in my ice cube tray? From → Uncategorized. Larr; This hurts more than I expected.

Because if I were in charge of the world, it would be a GREAT place…. To my Latin Guitar station on Pandora. The banana bread (made from on-sale fair-trade fruit from Ecuador) cooling down in the kitchen. Ban-cha tea. Toasted green tea, mmmmm. The gray, cold winter precipitation moving through. Imperatrix is hydrated, but cold | Peaceable Imperatrix

https://peaceableimperatrix.wordpress.com/2011/11/09/imperatrix-is-hydrated-but-cold

Because if I were in charge of the world, it would be a GREAT place…. Imperatrix is hydrated, but cold. I try to drink enough fluids*, but my drink of preference is hot tea, black or green, which is fine but not particularly hydrating if you add in the diuretic effect and the fact that you just can’t drink as much hot tea as you can unheated water. But water is kinda boring, unless you’re coming in from hot work out in the yard. Back to Original NScS. Solution to My Conundrum. I have found that it is ver...

100 Things | Peaceable Imperatrix

https://peaceableimperatrix.wordpress.com/100-things

Because if I were in charge of the world, it would be a GREAT place…. I realized that NaBloPoMo would be a great time to try to complete that 100 things about me list that is all over the Internet. I hadn’t done it yet because finding 100 things at one sitting was daunting, and I didn’t want to have “filler” lines like some people have. So I’m just tossing out whatever comes to mind, in smaller chunks. Update 4 December 2008: 46 down, 54 to go! I am the oldest of four girls. I have a very good memory&#46...

Random Bullets from Week Seven | Sleeping in the Forest

https://sleepingintheforest.wordpress.com/2010/11/20/random-bullets-from-week-seven

Sleeping in the Forest. I thought the earth remembered me, she took me back so tenderly, arranging her dark skirts, her pockets full of lichens and seeds. – Mary Oliver. Random Bullets from Week Seven. November 20, 2010 in academia. I just woke up from a nap after having stayed up until 3 AM grading annotated bibliographies. Week seven is hell. I am almost finished taking classes – forever and ever — two more weeks and one of those is the week of Thanksgiving. Lack of sleep makes me want to eat carbs.

Sleeping in the Forest. I thought the earth remembered me, she took me back so tenderly, arranging her dark skirts, her pockets full of lichens and seeds. – Mary Oliver. The News from Crunchy Town. October 23, 2010 in conferences. Was kind enough to write a long update on her recent activities, I feel obligated to reciprocate! So that is the news. Now I need to get back to all the grading and Spanish homework I have been neglecting over the weekend. Random Bullets from Week Seven. In Need of an Epiphany.

Middle Age Ramblings | Where I Share My Thoughts On This Journey Called Life

Where I Share My Thoughts On This Journey Called Life. I haven’t been blogging any this year. I realize that my audience has probably vanished. There is, however, something I need to say today. Many have said that we don’t have any choices in this election. That neither of the candidates are acceptable. I hear your objections clearly, but it is vital that we all exercise our right to vote. I think I understand a little of what the Psalmist was thinking when he wrote these words:. President Obama announce...
