Life with the Nelsons: Maturing…
http://lifewiththenelsons.blogspot.com/2013/02/maturing.html
Wednesday, February 20, 2013. This little boy has aged a little bit too much for me lately. Aside from being what his pediatrician describes as a “big boy,” his vocabulary, reasoning skills, physical accomplishments and over all love of learning speak to a maturing Jace. That is, as “mature” as you can call a freshly turned three year old. Mommy” “Train tracks. Jace, don’t stand on your train tracks. They might break. [Stepping off and giggling] “Mommy you said the wrong word.”. For the first times since...

Life with the Nelsons: March 2013
http://lifewiththenelsons.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Tuesday, March 12, 2013. I’m a little late in getting this posted, but we did take. These pictures on the day she turned 5 months! I’m not quite sure how this little lady has become five months so quickly! While it feels like she’s been in our family longer than that, I don’t feel like she should be any older or larger than a one month old yet. She’s is growing and changing so quickly these days! She LOVES her feet! She started on reflux meds on February 14 and they have made such a difference by reducin...

Life with the Nelsons: June 2012
http://lifewiththenelsons.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html
Wednesday, June 13, 2012. 28 Months and 24 Weeks. Hard to believe my babies are 28 months and 24 weeks… both are growing so much these days (although one can been seen from the outside and the other can be felt from my inside). Last night before falling asleep, I realized I had three favorite moments during the day (none of which are related to the pictures below). 8221; and then pretend to still sleep. It takes a while to get him out of bed. This time, though, he started calling, “Mommy! Jace LOVES doin...

Life with the Nelsons: May 2012

Friday, May 25, 2012. Considering I haven’t blogged here in quite a while and never officially announced my pregnancy here either (but I’m guessing everyone who looks at this are either family/friends/know me on Facebook so it isn’t a surprise, right? I thought some updates on our family were in order. Taking it from youngest to oldest…. Our little lady is due October 4 and has a name! Then started calling out, “Bluey! 8221; He was only semi-okay with Bluey taking a bath. Sit in Nahm-ing chair! We’...

Life with the Nelsons: May 2013
http://lifewiththenelsons.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Friday, May 10, 2013. This girl is BUSY! Taking these pictures made me sweat. She has recently discovered how fun it is to be mobile and can’t stop exploring. Keeping her on the chair proved to be very difficult since she just couldn’t resist trying to crawl onto the ottoman. She is an incredibly happy baby—almost always smiling and charming. We say that she is happy 95% of the time, and that other 5% is intense! On the opposite side of that peacefulness she is BUSY. She loves to jump and can turn an...

Life with the Nelsons: I love my children
http://lifewiththenelsons.blogspot.com/2013/06/i-love-my-children.html
Monday, June 3, 2013. I love my children. It’s a daily occurrence where I have to just stop and stare at my children. Sometimes they’re just super cute. Of course, we have our ugly moments too. But I try to really take in these precious little snapshots of who they are right now. As a mom I want to live in the moment—to embrace the now rather than wish it away for a future stage. And it’s especially fun when they take joy in experiencing the moment as well. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Thoughts on...

Life with the Nelsons: November 2012
http://lifewiththenelsons.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Friday, November 9, 2012. Our little lady turned one month on Monday. And since then, she’s really liked being held and made it difficult for me to get anything typed up about it! Her first smiles came just shy of being four weeks old, and the are adorable! 8221; And he has to go look at her while she sleeps. I’ve found toys that he tosses in the crib with her because, obviously, she needs something to entertain her. She does really well with riding in her car seat and sleeps through running errands in e...

Life with the Nelsons: December 2012

Tuesday, December 18, 2012. The Making of our Family Christmas Picture. Getting the perfect picture for our Christmas card this year proved to be a little more complicated than I expected. I started by getting the kids dressed up in their cute Christmas jammies and attempted to wrap lights around them all cute. But the lights didn’t cooperate, and neither did their expressions or limbs. They just didn’t look like the image I had in my head. From the viewfinder of the camera, I thought he was giving kisses.
