Monday, July 16, 2012. We tried to go see Mt. St. Helens, but it was too foggy. We settled for this little wetland instead. Oregon was full of Dutch Bros. Coffee. We were elated to discover that we were getting so close to In-N-Out! Driving through the clouds in northern California on our way to see the Redwoods. Abraham was thrilled to see giant Paul Bunyon and Babe. We are 98% sure that this is my dad. He's not convinced. Weeks later, Abraham is still talking about them.). Driving through a tree! We to...

Mike and Lucinda: July 2007

http://mikenlulu.blogspot.com/2007_07_01_archive.html

Monday, July 09, 2007. The weekend before my mom had her surgery we cut down the big tree in our yard. It was right on 38th Street, which is a busy street. My dad did most of the cutting and a lot of thinking. Here are some pictures of the tree going down, and then the big ordeal of removing the stump! This is a picture of our house this winter. You can see how big the tree was in the background! And this is our new view! No tree in the way! The fence is also gone. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Mike and Lucinda: Yellowstone National Park

http://mikenlulu.blogspot.com/2012/06/yellowstone.html

Monday, June 18, 2012. We took a day to explore Yellowstone National Park, the first national park. There are so many things to see there that a day does not do it justice, but we did the best we could! Geysers and mudpots were amazing to see, as well as the many other unusual geothermal features. Yellowstone River and Yellowstone Lake were beautiful sites, too. Exploring the sand by Yellowstone Lake. The view driving through Yellowstone. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Mike and Lucinda: April 2009

http://mikenlulu.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html

Thursday, April 09, 2009. Here are some photos of us (mostly Mike) working in the baby's room. Mike tore down the old ugly ceiling tiles, and with the help of some friends put up drywall instead. Kristi arrived in time to catch this lovely shot of me helping to hold up the drywall using an aquarium lightbulb box propped up on my head. Mike painted the walls. Tim helped Mike move all the furniture into the house. We barely got it home in the Santa Fe. It was pretty much a perfect fit! It's not a joke.

Keeping one foot always in the air: Avatar: Meh

http://moquist.blogspot.com/2009/12/avatar-meh.html

Keeping one foot always in the air. Saturday, December 19, 2009. Films don't often inspire me to write, but Avatar is an exception. As a visual experience it is fantastic, stunning, vibrant, inventive. Unfortunately, there wasn't anything else particularly interesting about it. That I've gotten from Cameron before. Avatar's timid story has really distracted me from how great it looks, and that's a shame. It's just worth seeing, just for the seeing. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Keeping one foot always in the air: March 2010

Keeping one foot always in the air. Sunday, March 14, 2010. Today Joel Spolsky ( Joel on Software. Wrote the following, with which I heartily agree:. Although I appreciate that many people find Twitter to be valuable, I find it a truly awful way to exchange thoughts and ideas. http:/ www.joelonsoftware.com/items/2010/03/14.html. I just can't get myself the least bit interested in Twitter, but I can't help being interested in why other people are interested and I'm not. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Keeping one foot always in the air: Easy Apple Scroll Handle Patent Workaround: Dim the scroll handle

http://moquist.blogspot.com/2012/07/easy-apple-scroll-handle-patent.html

Keeping one foot always in the air. Thursday, July 19, 2012. Easy Apple Scroll Handle Patent Workaround: Dim the scroll handle. I've read about Apple's new disappearing-scroll-handle patent twice. (Most lately, here: http:/ blog.inner-active.com/2012/07/oh-no-here-we-go-again-check-out-the-new-patent-apple-was-just-granted/. Then I twitch the screen so I can see the scroll handle again. If it's transparency is high enough the content underneath is still visible. Sounds great to me. Friends: Mike and Lulu.

Tuesday, July 14, 2009. Don't Call Yourself a Christian If. Don't call yourself a Christian if. You won't and don't go to church. You do go once a week and won't make an attempt to go more.
