Thursday, February 12, 2015. 02/05/15 A Winter Snowstorm and Wildlife. Hanging out on a very cold February morning in Edwards, IL. On February 4th, we once again found ourselves shoveling snow in Peoria, IL. Another weather system dropped around 3" inches of new snowfall. A winter landscape shortly after sunrise! I tried the "frozen bubble experiment" on this morning as well! One of my favorites from the morning! This was much harder than I thought it was gonna be. Still pretty cool though! Well that's a...

Thursday, August 6, 2015. 07/23/15 Mound City, SD Supercell. A supercell moves east. Toward Mound City, SD. I ventured into North Dakota for some storm chasing during my summer vacation. This was my first time I've been in North Dakota and was able to cross another state off my "bucket list". I started my day at a Best Western in Wall, SD. And headed north on SD Rt. 73 toward the North Dakota border. My target for the day was just south of Bismark, ND. Convection. This area featured 5,000J/kg. Farther so...

Monday, September 8, 2014. A photogenic shelf cloud accompanying a line of non-severe thunderstorms moves into Peoria, IL. I once again found myself photographing some convection once I got off work after 6:00pm. On this late-evening some non-severe thunderstorms organized. Into a nice "bow" feature on radar. Near Galesburg, IL. I watched these storms from my apartment waiting for the shelf cloud accompanying these thunderstorms to become visible along the horizon. Once I noticed this storm. What a diffe...

Tuesday, June 24, 2014. 06/05/14 Onawa, IA Supercell. A supercell with a nice inflow tail moving east/southeast near Onawa, IA. I was on my way home to Peoria, IL. Traveling along I-80. I kept tabs on the weather along my route and noticed. A powerful updraft north of Omaha, NE. In Iowa coming into view. This storm was severe-warned and looking very interesting from a distance. After deciding this was indeed a storm. Of CAPE, 0-6km shear at 40kts. And a moist boundary-layer with dew points near 65°.

Midwest Patriot- - -. Nebraska Firearms Owners Association. Tuesday, June 28, 2011. A few of us were discussing friends and honesty and trust over at a blogger buddy's site. We all have acquaintances, but who are those you can't truly call friends? Mine are categorized as such:. People I Know- just that, I know your name (maybe if I can remember it) and a little information about you. Buddy- Folks I know and maybe hang out with regularly, but just not close enough to depend on. These are the real Keepers.

-----Midwest Patriot-----: I'll SPEAKUP DAMMIT!
http://midwestpatriot.blogspot.com/2012/12/ill-speakup-dammit.html
Midwest Patriot- - -. Nebraska Firearms Owners Association. Friday, December 14, 2012. Folks all over the web are talking about the shooting in Connecticut as we speak. Yet everyone is saying let's just pray for the children, let's not spout off on our beliefs. Well, dammit, I'm tired of praying, tired of not doing a dammed thing about it. As has been said before- We perform fire drills, install extensive fire sprinkler systems, extinguishers, tornado drill, storm shelters, maybe even bomb shelters!
