Beyers Naude Road is one of the main roads out towards the North West of Joburg. But if you are an up and coming mountain biker, do yourself a favour and turn “off the trail” and head into the old streetfront shopping area of the suburb of Linden. Off the Trail - South Africa. Dream BIG, challenge the 'status quo' - live Off the Trail. Monday, 4 July 2011. Day 21 - The end is in sight. Albert and John did not sleep in 'Die Hel' last night. They reached the bottom of the Gamkaskloof and climbed 'The Ladder' yesterday afternoon, doubling up on the pace. Despite some optimistic planning to finish the Karoo section earlier, this is the first day they managed to skip a Support Station to bring the 26 day target closer.
