September 30, 2014. Slept 8 hours… Tried sleeping a little more and then the anxiety sets in. What’s going to happen at internship? Do I have to present that case in the meeting today? What will I say? No way I can sleep anymore. Alarm is set for 9:30am. Its 9:20am. Rest 10 more minutes? Impossible. Every time I get a little comfortable, a pang in my chest wakes me. So annoying. October 1, 2014. For the longest time I kept myself mostly separated from others. I did it out of protection, so I didn’t get hurt and maybe I was angry towards others. This of course only hurt me in the end. Now I have the challenge of how do I get past this fear of being myself. I’ll admit I can make some friends and I do have a few close friends, but my relationships at work and at school are almost nonexistent. How do I open myself to others? I just open my mouth and talk, right?

When you’re unable to shake what you were stressing about even though the problem is gone, anxiety creeps in. You start to constantly worry about how you’re going to get through the next day. In and out and about this dark tree. The season’s first snowflakes appear. The nest’s only occupants for the rest of the year. Will I be standing here next spring. To see the tree renew.
