Mineral King Preservation Society Collections. Welcome to the Collections of the Mineral King Preservation Society. The Mineral King Preservation Society is a nonprofit organization established in 1986 to promote the preservation of the natural and historic assets of the Mineral King area in Sequoia National Park. On October 27, 2003, a major portion of Mineral King’s cultural resources were listed on the National Register of Historic Places as part of the Mineral King Road Cultural Landscape District.
