A Journey of Faith. The Fruit of the Spirit →. March 3, 2010 · 19:38. My wife and I are in Rwanda and have applied for two year residence visas. We looked at the list of visas that could be applied for and decided that ‘Missionary’ seemed most appropriate. I am an accountant and have been asked to help one of the church umbrella organisations. We are also working with churches to alleviate poverty, and I am doing a little preaching on the side. A Journey of Faith. The Fruit of the Spirit. Business ethics: are they enough? March 7, 2010 · 15:33. One of the hardest things for me to understand about the Christian faith is probably one of the simplest. How do we live out a life of faith? How do we carry our Sunday piousness into the hustle and bustle of the other six days of the week? More to the point, how do we do it and not fall into the legalistic trap that caught the Jews? I am certainly making no such suggestion here. The Fruit of the Spirit.

A Journey of Faith. Christians and the Church. Business as Mission →. March 3, 2010 · 17:49. I have been reading Daniel Dennett’s book. Darwin’s Dangerous Idea. The dangerous idea being of course that evolution could occur, in all its complexity, from simple and mechanistic beginnings. Secondly, in seeking to deny God as creator, Dennett seems to satisfy himself by attempting to show that Darwinism. Christians and the Church. Business as Mission →. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. A Journey of Faith. Business ethics: are they enough? March 21, 2010 · 15:07. How much do we believe? A short while ago I posted a piece about Daniel Dennett and his rant against religion and faith. This week he cropped up again in a similar vein. He recently wrote an article for the Washington Post entitled. Non-believing clergy: Now what will we do? 8221; Now, for those not familiar with Scottish presbyterianism, the national church isn’t known for being evangelical. The best answer is probably to igno...

A Journey of Faith. Faith and religion →. March 7, 2010 · 14:38. The Fruit of the Spirit. Sermon given at Eglise Presbyterienne, Kigali, 7th March 2009. In the past few weeks the word love has found its way into the theme several times. Which has to be a good thing. This is a church after all and we are Christians; love is what we are supposed to do and there would be something wrong if love didn’t keep appearing in what we talk about. Before going on, there is something about this list that is worth not...

A Journey of Faith. In the spring of 2007 my wife and I took a decision to turn our lives to Christian mission work overseas. This was an idea which had been ruminating at the back of our minds for some years and we realised that if it was ever to happen we had to do something about it other than dream. Ultimately, our decision was easy. Rwanda is a country which needs and deserves help. You can read about how we are doing that elsewhere in this blog. We came home armed with a list of contact...You are c...

I have been reading a document published recently by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants entitled. Incorporating ethics into strategy: developing sustainable business models. 8221; A Christian might turn this around and ask whether a business should be selling armaments at all? I don’t think so. Unlike businesses, Christians don’t (or shouldn’t) have a problem with knowing what ...We maybe ...
