https://mokda.wordpress.com/2010/03/19/dessert-chocolate-frosting-perfect-with-that-emergency-chocolate-cake

DESSERT: Chocolate Frosting, perfect with that Emergency Chocolate Cake. March 19, 2010 at 7:56 pm. I don’t remember which cookbook I copied this from in the grocery store, but this recipe is our official favorite. 8 ounces unsweetened chocolate. 1/2 cup sweetener of choice. 1 125-ounce package firm silken tofu. 1 Melt chocolate in a bowl over a steaming pot of water (or in the microwave, if you’d like). Let it cool a bit. 3 Spread on cooled cake immediately. Entry filed under: Dairy-Free.

Breakfast Scrambles | Eat This

https://mokda.wordpress.com/2015/05/03/breakfast-scrambles

May 3, 2015 at 8:22 pm. So, I’m not so great at eating breakfast these days. I very much enjoy sleeping in. I’ve been testing several breakfast recipes recently in an effort to get inspired. Here are a couple I found that have been especially wonderful. Both of these recipes are great eaten with corn tortillas. Variation on the original recipe. 2 TBSP olive oil. 1 medium onion, chopped. 1/2 bell pepper, diced. 1 LB extra firm tofu. 6 oz Tofutti brand Chorizo substitute. 1 tsp garlic powder. Add onion and...

Broccoli and Cashew Fried Rice. I recognized this year that I don’t tolerate eggs well if I eat them frequently, and I was missing my fried rice with all of my heart. When I saw this recipe using cashews, I thought I’d give it a go, and I love, love, loved it. Highgate Hill Kitchen. Is a great cooking blog to get lost in. 2 small brown onions. 1 small head broccoli. 1/2 cup jasmine rice, cooked and cooled. 1/3 cup toasted cashews. Sunflower oil, to cook. 1 tsp brown rice syrup. 1 tsp sesame oil. Preheat ...

Monday, July 08, 2013. These animals visited us in one day. This is only the second time we've seen a deer here. The crane parents come over once in a while, but this is the first time we've seen the kiddos. This owl perches on this branch at dusk fairly often, but we hadn't seen him for a few days. Overall, it was the best day of animal watching that we've had here. Here the bunny is eating morning glory right outside our window. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). http://packlight.blogspot.com/2013/08/on-shiawassee-river.html

Sunday, August 04, 2013. On the Shiawassee River. Both of our jobs contribute to secondary trauma. So I am glad that we both enjoy getting outside to refresh our minds and bodies. This weekend we went biking, walking and paddling. Here are a few shots from this morning on the Shiawassee River. We avoided the snake (later we learned that it was a northern water snake. And continued on the other side of the road, where peace and tranquility returned. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Amy - The Simple Life.

Eat This | "These are some of my favorite recipes. May they bring you great joy and health as you share meals with both friends and enemies." –The International Chef of Mystery

How is it possible that there was no salad left over from our backyard campout last Saturday night? And did I really eat raw kale? I have missed Caesar salad since I went dairy-free, and I’ve tried several recipes. This is the one I’ll keep. It’s only possible thanks to this recipe. From ohsheglows.com. It wasn’t as complicated as I expected it to be, looking at the long list of ingredients. For the roasted chickpea croutons:. 1 (15-oz) can chickpeas (or 1.5 cups cooked). 1/2 teaspoon fine grain sea salt.
