Following up on my post on the Sensorial part of the Montessori curriculum, I wanted to highlight the Silence game. Yesterday on the way home, Tristan told me to turn off the DVD player and to stop talking so he could listen. We sat in silence for a good while, then he said, "I heard a sound. I think it was that tree falling.". The Silence Game takes practice. Young children and those who are not yet normalized.
