To this point, the Binder Family Foundation has provided all of the funding for Moppie's Love. It has not been our intention to seek outside funding. However, as we have seen the success of the program, our great hope is to expand it to additional children's hospitals and also more broadly within the hospitals where we have already begun. I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma when I was 12 years old. During my three years of treatment, my family and I saw the doctors in their private offices at the hospital on Friday afternoons for outpatient visits. However, once per treatment cycle I received chemotherapy every day of the week. And on Thursdays, the doctors only saw patients in the public outpatient clinic.

Moppie's Love is inspired by my mother, Myrna Binder (Moppie), who volunteered at the Babies' Hospital pediatric hematology/oncology outpatient clinic in New York City during the 1970's and 1980's.
