Moray Club Journal: Knoydart - Sgurr Mor to Sgurr Na Ciche
http://morayclubjournal.blogspot.com/2011/01/knoydart-sgurr-mor-sgurr-na-ciche.html
Adventure in Scotland's great outdoors. The Moray Club today. The unrecorded years 1991-2007. Knoydart - Sgurr Mor to Sgurr Na Ciche. Never before had I seen this rugged and uninhabited part of the Scottish Highlands; Knoydart fulfils the desire to find a place where man has made little impression. On the Friday night our tents were eventually pitched beside an old deserted tin house near Strathan Farm, at the head of Loch Arkaig. The 'tin house' near Strathan. The ridge at last! With a warm sun and cott...
Moray Club Journal: Beinn An Lochain

Adventure in Scotland's great outdoors. The Moray Club today. The unrecorded years 1991-2007. Sunday 14th March 1971. A day's hill walk in sunshine and on a little snow, remarkable perhaps in being Bracken the beagle's last club trip. Alasdair and Bracken - the summit view. From now on Eric only had one rope to disentangle! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Click 'The Moray Club today'. For current trip information. Toast to The Lassies. Bidein a'Choire Sheasgaich and Lurg Mhor. Islands in the Sun.
Moray Club Journal: The Aonach Eagach -- Do's & Don'ts
http://morayclubjournal.blogspot.com/2008/01/aonach-eagach-dos-donts.html
Adventure in Scotland's great outdoors. The Moray Club today. The unrecorded years 1991-2007. The Aonach Eagach - Do's and Don'ts. Hares - Bruce, Clark Kent and partner. Hounds - Alan, Bill and myself. If travelling in more than one car from Glasgow, do reassemble at Tyndrum for rolls, tea and a headcount. I’m quite sure Stanley didn’t have as much trouble catching up with Livingstone! There’s only one of him! Which, unfortunately accentuates the rather deciduous nature of my head in general. Stopping pe...
Moray Club Journal: Loudoun Hill
http://morayclubjournal.blogspot.com/2011/09/loudoun-hill.html
Adventure in Scotland's great outdoors. The Moray Club today. The unrecorded years 1991-2007. The day started out for John, Jim and myself at George Square, where Jim was his mandatory 30 minutes late. Wearing our seatbelts with the No Smoking sign lit we took off for Loudoun Hill. Loudoun Hill soon appeared on the horizon and we landed safely to await the rest of the party. Jim soon disappeared into the under growth to preform his ablutions. One wonders why he took his chalk bag with him? More climbing ...

Moray Club: Ben Lawers from Craggantoul
http://www.morayclub.co.uk/2014/01/ben-lawers-from-craggantoul.html
Who are the Moray Club? 1991-2007 The Unrecorded Years. Ben Lawers from Craggantoul. The Moray Club have had many Burns night celebrations -. But a weekend in March is a tad late. No camping this time - but luxury accommodation. On the shores of Loch Tay. Craggantoul (stony barn) exceeded all our expectations. Craggantoul sits on the shores of Loch Tay. Ben Lawers looked fab with it's wee cap of snow. Nice to be able to see the hill top from your house. Gearing up in the sun. And it was cold in the breeze.

Moray Club: Climbing Meall Greigh
http://www.morayclub.co.uk/2013/03/climbing-meall-greigh.html
Who are the Moray Club? 1991-2007 The Unrecorded Years. Meaning - Hill of the Horse Studs. The hamlet at Lawers has always been tricky for parking, but the Hotel offer 'free' use of their car park if you have a pint in the bar before or after your walk , what a pity it was closed this January! Helpful and so much nicer than an 'official' sign. The path beyond the farm is wooded and sheltered; there are glimpses through the undergrowth to the Lawers Burn. In places it's a little soft underfoot. These ruin...

They would do their own thing and see us back at the house. A breather before the final slopes. We looked east to Meall Greigh. Ompleted in early 2012,.
