Apart from the artist L.S. Lowrie, most of his patrons have been climbers and mountain obsessives. Among the more well known have been; Mo Anthoine, Chris Bonington, Joe Brown, Mick Burke, Nick Estcourt, Lord Hunt, Jack Longland, Doug Scott and Don Whillans. The Climbers Club commissioned a watercolour and a limited edition of prints for the Club's centenary year (1997). Llanberis Pass' commissioned by the Climbers' Club to mark their 1997 centenary.
