http://storiesfromhappyvalley.blogspot.com/2010/11/what-kind-of-week-has-it-been.html
Monday, November 29, 2010. What Kind of Week Has It Been. The question hung in the air more awkwardly than Russell was expecting. He had thought it would be the perfect, smooth segue into confessions of love, lust, desire, and dreams. He had hoped Ainsley would turn to him with her big blue eyes and say something deep and throaty like, "you tell me.". Russell shook his head. This isn't the conversation he wanted to have. But he answered her question. "Eleven," he said. She wasn't. She couldn't. E...What ...

Stories From Happy Valley: December 2011
http://storiesfromhappyvalley.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 8, 2011. He and She and The Baby. He wanted to do something. He wanted to say something. He wanted to help in some way, some little but meaningful way. He wanted to be that guy. Instead he was the guy doing his best to not get caught shooting glances her way. He turned to her. She glanced at him. They locked eyes. Her eyes were brown - melted milk chocolate brown with flecks of stubborn, unmelting dark chocolate. She shivered and he thought about giving her his coat. But then they ...

The Next Chapter: April 2012
http://nextfoggchapter.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Just as one ends, another begins . . . Oh, The Things Youll Do! Wednesday, April 18, 2012. Oh, The Things You'll Do! One of my favorite Dr Seuss books is Oh, The Places You'll Go! I kind of wish he had written a follow-up to that called Oh, The Things You'll Do! One thing I never saw coming was the podcast I'm currently working on. My friends Loren and I have recorded over thirty episodes at this point and they all can be found at www.moviesyoushouldlove.com. Until We Have Faces. Is a documentary from Le...

http://scottfogg.blogspot.com/2011_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, September 28, 2011. McKay Books' first Internet promo! Saturday, September 10, 2011. Mean Man and The Ruffians. How long has it been since the last Ruffians. Nope Just checked Vimeo. It's been four months. For a project that I said I wanted to shoot one a month, why's it taken me so long to follow up the third episode? Two words: Mean. Man. In episode 4 of The Ruffians. Kept trying to take over the episode and this episode of The Ruffians. Opened up and revealed itself to me. It's still going ...

had an idea today...: November 2012
http://scottfogg.blogspot.com/2012_11_01_archive.html
Wednesday, November 28, 2012. I'm reading the first draft and boy, is it rough. There's the occasional passage or paragraph that makes me smile with pride, but most of these sentences are making my shudder. I still like the story and I try to remind myself of that: This story is. Good It just needs to be told better. The reader deserves that. And I need to be able to sleep at night, knowing I've crafted the best book I could and that it's not out there, embarrassing me. Tuesday, November 13, 2012. Then, ...

http://scottfogg.blogspot.com/2012_05_01_archive.html
Saturday, May 19, 2012. I'm not sure if I like pretending these are from someone who can't remember how the script really went, or if these are from some abandoned first draft of these now-famous scripts. The first one (from Apocalypse Now. Came from Stop Podcasting Yourself. The rest (and future ones) are mine. Labels: first draft hollywood. Thursday, May 3, 2012. Then I listen to Henry Jackman's score for X-Men: First Class. It helps me. Maybe it'll help you, too. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Simple tem...

had an idea today...: End of Draft 1
http://scottfogg.blogspot.com/2012/11/end-of-draft-1.html
Thursday, November 1, 2012. End of Draft 1. Stop looking at me like that. I haven't been ignoring - well, okay, actually, that's a lie. I have. Been avoiding you, but it's been for a good cause. I've just completed the first draft of what will hopefully be the first of many adventures of Phileas Reid. It started like this:. And ended like this:. I've had a great many distractions. Then then it's off to the publishers and my dreams will be in the hands of English majors. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

had an idea today...: Artist Needed!
http://scottfogg.blogspot.com/2012/11/artist-needed.html
Tuesday, November 6, 2012. As I begin the second draft of Phileas Reid Knows We're Not Alone. I want to get the ball rolling on the next step, which is publication. The dream, of course, is to be able to walk into any given book store and find copies of this adventure in the young adult section - which means I'm preparing myself for a lot of rejection letters from a lot of major publishing companies. Because, ultimately, everyone. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Stories From...
