Joe Burchett, who moved from the neighborhood to Jackson a few years ago, was run over and killed by an engine on the M. and O. yards of Wednesday last week. Deceased left a wife and one child. The remains were interred at Pleasant Hill in the old First District of last week. (The Lexington Progress, January 12, 1906). Coffman, Dovie (1923).
