Musing Monsoon
Thursday, October 02, 2008. The perils of adventures. One should not be adventurous. I think we need to take greater care. These were the words of Chief Minister of Delhi Sheila Dixit, on the death of television journalist Soumya Vishwanathan. While she also did express sorrow, instead of using this as an opportunity to crack down on the pathetic law and order situation in the Capital, she merely admitted that Delhi was indeed an unsafe city. Which again reminds me of the maxim I recently came across -.

Kaleidoscope of Images | Musings, Fashion, Mood swings and Tittle Tattle!
Musings, Fashion, Mood swings and Tittle Tattle! Happy Holi (belated… Like they say, better late than never). 8216;Feeling Spring-Forward’. The phrase ‘paint it red’ some how feels apt today…. I sit today somehow not missing the flavor and exuberance of one of the festivities I celebrated in my homeland. It gives me reason enough to express the feeling in my own way. To more such festivities, color and peppiness…. I wish everyone a lot of joy, happiness and health. Of new memories and old bonds. 8216;Lov...

Devotional Thoughts in Following Christ. November 8, 2016. November 8, 2016. There is a trend that I’ve noticed a little more recently than I had ever noticed before. I don’t know what to call it, other than “Christian Satanism”… Essentially, it’s when Christians speak, think, or act in a manner that gives homage to Satan, as if he has any legitimate credence what-so-ever. How about I give a few examples, first more popular, and then from there some of the more fanatic things…. Let me spell it out for you.

Talkin' to Myself
A Blog about my days. Saturday, November 11, 2017. I met the guy in the front row of this picture in 1990. He was a retired Marine aviator. He retired as a "full bird colonel". He was sitting in a plastic chair in a hospital room visiting his very ill wife. He had his legs crossed and his arms crossed over his chest. The body language alone told me to be VERY careful with this guy. This time she was on a ventilator and could not speak. But the men in the room kept asking her open ended questions! It was ...

hamishandbethsmumma's Blog | One mumma's musings on motherhood & life
One mumma's musings on motherhood and life. Being mumma enough… It’s more than just a “healthy baby”. As a mumma who grieves her births and a mumma who frequently discusses birth I often hear the phrase “but you have a healthy baby”. I know that when it is said it is usually from a place of genuine good intention. I know that the person saying it means well. I know that what that person has said is true. The world needs to realise that the bouncing healthy beautiful baby nestled in her breast may in fact...
