A blog detailing my Central European excursions and experiences. Wednesday, June 10, 2009. Dein Englisch ist perfekt! He this switched back to German and we continued to chat for another hour or so auf Deutsch. I suppose this is a normal feeling for people immersed in a foreign culture, but its a pretty cool experience for me. When I recognize people on the street, I have to think about which language to use to greet them. I really really love this experience and will be sad to lose it in 5 weeks. Stacey...

A catholic and a protestant church in one. The mismatch of services corresponded quite well to the mismatched architectural styles of the building. In the photo below you see styles reminiscent of the middle ages, gothic, and romanesque. As we walked through town, we saw lots of pieces of old town fortifications and even...

TourdeFlener: August 2008
http://tourdeflener.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html
A blog detailing my Central European excursions and experiences. Sunday, August 31, 2008. I'm soooo excited. Last summer, I said that I really missed a good old midwest storm. I wake up this morning to thunder and lightening! Now I understand why I had such a horrible migraine yesterday. (My migraines predict the weather at times). Even with Bamu and Buster (my travel companions), the bed still looks pretty lonely. The next photo is after I added the sheets and duvet cover. Thursday, August 28, 2008.
