LEJOG Revisited: August 12, 2012 – Pitlochry to Forres
http://lejogrevisited.blogspot.com/2012/08/august-12-2012-pitlochry-to-forres.html
In the summer of 2011, I walked from Land's End to John O'Groats (well, almost), enduring the worst weather Britain could throw at me. That journey is reported in "My 1200 Mile Summer." In the summer of 2012 I am facing an even greater challenge: I will drive the length of Britain, zooming down Britain's narrow hedgerow-lined lanes and navigating its infamous roundabouts - with my wife sitting next to me! Follow along to see if we are still speaking to each other at the end of each day. Heather wasn̵...

My DalesMan Summer: 07/14/16
http://mydalesmansummer.blogspot.com/2016_07_14_archive.html
This is the story of my 2-month, 500-mile walk in the summer of 2016 through the Dales of northern England and around the Isle of Man. It is best read chronologically, starting with the earliest posting in the Archives section of the sidebar. Thursday, July 14, 2016. Day 14 - Richmond. Bridge over River Swale. I had a nice discussion with the owner/baker, Alex, and Sam, who was serving the customers. The pie was delicious, but it disappeared too quickly. Day 13 - Kirkby Stephen to Keld, 14 miles. Where E...

http://myripariansummer.blogspot.com/2014/08/august-11-2014-day-57-thames-path-15.html
Walk completed August 16, 2014. Monday, August 11, 2014. August 11, 2014 - Day 57, Thames Path, 15 miles. A sunny morning greeted me as I returned to the O. To resume walking the Thames Path where I left off yesterday. The tide was out, emphasizing the amount of water that moves in and out of the Thames each day. Path diversion for construction. The new London Bridge. Maybe tomorrow I’ll find another mystery plant on the footpath. Wouldn't that be exciting? 169; 2014 Ken Klug. August 11, 2014 at 6:10 PM.
