You do a lot of learning when you are hiking a trail like this. A lot of the lessons come in just learning to hike better. Take bigger steps, use you trekking poles to push you uphill, and duct tape really is a fix-it-all. But the tangible stuff aside, you learn a lot about people in general and mostly about yourself.
