Finally, arrangements are being made for Kiera to have a gastronomy in two months if the softer 30-day NG tube doesn't make a difference in her progress. A gastronomy is a procedure to put in a G-tube which is a feeding tube that goes directly to her stomach. Taking the aversive stimuli out of her nose and throat will likely help her feed better orally. Links to this post. February 9, ...

Kiera Grey: September 2010

Born on January 9, 2010 at 8:57 am to Keith and Brenda and big sister Piper. Friday, September 24, 2010. Maybe the Last Dilatation. Kiera's ocularist also did an impression of the space in Kiera's right eye. Kiera's prosthetic eye cup was not fitting properly and it's probably because Kiera's head has grown so much in the last little while. So on Monday, Kiera will be getting a new eye which will hopefully not turn upside down or pop out when she retches. Links to this post. Friday, September 17, 2010.

Born on January 9, 2010 at 8:57 am to Keith and Brenda and big sister Piper. Monday, January 10, 2011. The year 2010 was supposed to be a wonderful year. I couldn't wait to have a break from my PhD studies and was looking forward to being a mom to a newborn again. Our expectations were high. As of today, Kiera is still not interested in swallowing food, although she is swall...
