http://smallstoriesfromme.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
Tuesday, February 24, 2009. 25 records that changed my life. I've gotten into Facebook. Recently - mostly to keep in touch with all of the dear friends I made during my sojourn at Macy's Midwest. When the ship went down we found that it was a handy way to to keep tabs on each other. . Seems to be all about lists - "Unknown facts about me", "Random songs on my iPod. I'll never be able to come up with that many." After I got into it, I realized that 25 wasn't really enough. I love music that much. I had ne...

My St. Louis: September 2007
http://stlouishistory.blogspot.com/2007_09_01_archive.html
Saturday, September 29, 2007. Is one of the most blatantly segregated cities in the. The north side is predominantly black and until recently the south side predominantly white. I’ve lived pretty much my whole life somewhere in the central corridor (no rules). When we were 16 or 17 Marge, A. and I were invited to a blues club way north on. Called Sadie’s Personality Lounge. I’m sure this happens to everyone when they become legal age but on my 21. Somewhere in here Freddy got me up on the stage and hande...

His plan was to camp alone with me and later take my brother. My brother is bitter to this day that he never got his trip. I didn’t realize until I took my own kids camping that we went to. We drove out in a little convertible Morris Minor. Someone had lent him the camp gear. The large cave at the bottom is.

Sunday, July 29, 2007. In the late 50’s early 60’s my dad would occasionally take me to the space he lived in before I was born. He had lived there with Bob Koester whose record store “Delmar Records” was just downstairs and Paul Schueltz. Paul was a painter and bassist. They rented it from a painter named Bill Fett. Although Nick Jakovac’s bar on. Koester moved his store to. Renamed ...

small stories: October 2008
http://smallstoriesfromme.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 30, 2008. Halloween was always one of my favorite holidays when I was a kid. In the town where I grew up it was a 2 day celebration. After the parade, you'd go home and bolt down your supper - probably still in your costume - and head out for an evening's Trick or Treating. It seemed like it was always cold and always raining. My Mom would vainly try to get me to wear a coat, but I just couldn't. I'd be covering up my costume and look dorky besides. They said, "That's just not right!

Saturday, March 29, 2008. 2 Years in the Suburbs. Okay, maybe our tree houses weren’t quite as nice as this but they were close. There were a lot of trees and creeks. We found real fossils in the creeks. Our gang consisted of Greg, Brad, Jeff, and Don Belk. I can use Don’s full name because he died...Don tal...
