Across Nairnshire on foot and bike. Bikes & transport. The Challenge is also a major logistical exercise which, quite simply, could not take place without a small army of volunteers and supporters. Thanks to their help, we are proud the Nairnshire Challenge is invariably a smoothly run and well-organised event. Volunteers help transport participants (and their bikes! Preparation - Nairnshire Challenge

Nevertheless, a reasonably fit person with some preparation and intending to walk the foot section should be capable of completing the foot section in about 4.5 hours and the bike section in about 1.5 hours, allowing for an unhurried and enjoyable journey of about 6 hours. The 20th Nairnshire Challenge will be held on. Sunday 28 May 2017. We will be accepting entries from 1st October 2016. Register by 1st January 2017 for 30 per entrant; 40 thereafter.

Please note that there is no registration at the Start of the foot section at Auchterteang. The Links are adjacent to the central beach in Nairn, and well signposted. Nevertheless, the official clock at the finish will give finishers their times and these will be published in the local press, on this page and on our facebook page. Hundreds of entrants complete the course in anything between 2 and 7 hours. Every single one gets RESPECT.
