Tuesday, August 30, 2016. Towards the end of the school year, Errol Hassell had a school carnival. I took the kids and they had a blast playing in the bounce houses and doing the various booths. There was also a climbing wall that both Sanaa and Layla tried. They did really well! I was impressed with how high both climbed considering it was the first time either of them had ever done anything like this. Sanaa's last day of 2nd grade and other pictures. Wednesday, June 24, 2015. The birthday cakes were a lot of fun to make! Each kid had their own and I had each of them help mix up the batter for their cake. Malakai's cake looked the hardest, but was actually the fastest one to make. I just searched online for a tutorial for a Bucky cake and found several. I used toothpicks to hold the rainbow up and then covered that area with marshmallows to hide the toothpicks. When it was finished, Sanaa said it looked perfect and was just what she wanted! Sunday, October 26, 2014. The day I killed our smoke detector. One evening as I was attempting to bake pizza pockets, the smoke detector kept going off. After the 6th time of it going off in 5-10 minutes I lost it. I took a towel and I hit the smoke detector so hard I knocked it right off the ceiling. And it finally stopped beeping. When I knocked it off the ceiling Sanaa excitedly said to Layla, "Isn't it great Layla? Now it won't keep going off and mommy can cook and we don't have to bring fans out!

And I love her clothing patterns for children. Impulsively, I bought her Reversible Child Hat Pattern. I was so bummed. I was so proud of myself for getting a thrift store women's jacket and men's dress shirt to use for the hat, and it turned out so cute. Wednesday, April 29, 2015. Yesterday Lucy hit the 1 month milestone. I took these pictures yesterday but just got around to writing/posting today. Here is a little update. Everyone always asks how she is sleeping, which I know is a normal question. The answer is that she sleeps pretty well. She falls asleep on her own in her crib for most naps during the day. Once she is asleep for bedtime, she wakes up about 4-5 hours after her last feeding and then I feed her again sometime in the 6am hour. Simple temp...

Sunday, June 28, 2015. Lucy is three months old today; it seems like quite a milestone to reach. We are loving getting to know her and snuggle her! Lucy has been sleeping through the night, from about 10pm-6am. However, for the past week she has been waking up anywhere between 2am and 4am to eat. I am hoping that it is just a growth spurt and that she will soon go back to sleeping until 6am. She takes several naps during the day and usually lays down easily.
