Minthorne Mommy: March: Lego Robotics Expo
http://minthornemommy.blogspot.com/2015/06/march-lego-robotics-expo.html
Tuesday, June 23, 2015. March: Lego Robotics Expo. Back in March, the boys' Lego Robotics team took part in the Jr FLL Expo at the Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum. They had all worked so hard on their Lego models and it was finally time to show them off. The team created an educational rooftop playground, with a crane that helped move plants so it could be a playground AND a garden. Because this is Jr FLL, the only robotic part is the crane and they don't compete - they just show it off. Way. Homespu...

Minthorne Mommy: March 2014

Saturday, March 22, 2014. Aiden and the Stigma of TAG. I haven't written about Aiden in a while - mainly because it's really hard to truly describe what's been going on. And also because there's a bit of a fear of stigma with the whole thing. What he needs education-wise and actually being able to supply it is a big, complicated thing. By the end of 1st grade, things were ever so slowly improving, but we were still concerned for 2nd grade. And our daily life was still far from easy. I love Aiden more tha...

Minthorne Mommy: May 2015
http://minthornemommy.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Tuesday, May 5, 2015. Pardon the interruption from our vacation pictures. I wanted to pop and give a quick update:. We received a letter from the school district regarding Nathan:. That makes two TAG kiddos for us! At his last assessment, Aiden was working on 10th grade spelling. He is doing a million times better this school year and we haven't had any behavioral issues since the fall (and that one was really minor). And not a single visit to the principal! I will have a set 20-hour per week schedule wi...

Minthorne Mommy: September 2014
http://minthornemommy.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, September 25, 2014. I have a quick prayer request. I am very tired. Actually, tired doesn't really describe it. It's true exhaustion. I'm not entirely sure why I'm feeling this way and to be honest, it really really stinks. I don't know if I'm simply having trouble adjusting to earlier mornings.a month later (with early mornings on weekends as well due to work/soccer), or if there's something else going on. Posted by C. M. Friday, September 19, 2014. How It's Going: Work and School. It's not a ...

Minthorne Mommy: July 2014
http://minthornemommy.blogspot.com/2014_07_01_archive.html
Wednesday, July 30, 2014. Where has the time gone? The last three weeks have blown by! This makes me incredibly sad, as I'm not nearly ready for school to be approaching quite as fast as it is. I love having the boys around and there's so much more I want to do this summer. I haven't been posting mainly because I'm too busy reading (such a problem to have! Can you tell that I've gone into the right line of work? Posted by C. M. Tuesday, July 8, 2014. It was fun. Smelly, but fun. The newest exhibit is Din...

Minthorne Mommy: June 2014

Sunday, June 29, 2014. Back at the beginning of June, we took a little day trip downtown to see the ships during Fleet Week. The weather was amazing. And we somehow managed to avoid any sunburns. I don't have too much to say about it, as it was all fairly low-key and we just wandered around Portland looking at the ships, so I'll just let the pictures do most of the talking. The Royal Canadian Navy boat (ship? I snapped this as we were getting into the car in the parking garage. If you enlarge it, the...

Minthorne Mommy: April 2015
http://minthornemommy.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 29, 2015. Yep, despite not having a chance to just sit and blog for two months, I'm picking up right where I left off! Day 2 of our Disney trip started with Magic Morning (which honestly felt super crowded for something that is supposedly limited to certain ticket holders). We only did a few rides during that hour because those were the longest lines of the entire visit, then John ran over to grab Fantasmic FastPasses before they ran out. We JUST missed Genie! Nathan is an awful driver.
