We sampled a variety of parameters in the rivers and streams adjacent to the trails . PH (level of acidity or basicity). Nutrients (nitrates and phosphates). Wetland along the Neuse River, near the Heddingham development just north of New Bern Avenue. No nitrates were registered by the test strips at any of the sites we sampled.
