News for Users of Moffett Federal Airfield. Monthly Archives: May 2015. Tonight’s RAB Meeting Cancelled. May 14, 2015. The Navy cancelled tonight’s RAB meeting, saying there was nothing to report, and anyway they’re under budget pressure. With all of the environmental issues still ongoing at Moffett, including the continuing dispute between Navy and the MEW companies over responsibility for the groundwater contamination plume, I think a single public meeting every three months is well justified.

News for Users of Moffett Federal Airfield. NASA Leases Moffett to Google’s Real Estate Arm. November 10, 2014. Months ago, NASA and GSA awarded the lease for Moffett’s runways, Hangar One, Hangars Two and Three, the golf course, and other portions of the property to Planetary Ventures, Google’s real estate arm. Today, the negotiated lease finally was signed. The lease requires PV to re-skin Hangar One, so I expect we’ll soon hear more about how and when that project will begin. San Jose Mercury News.
