Hundreds of Boyd and Greenup County adults have received free medical care at Northeast Kentucky Care Center (NEKCC) since its opening in 2009. These are low income patients who do not have insurance and are chronically-ill. They need a doctor but can’t afford one. Once they see one of our doctors, some patients face another problem: How to pay for their prescription. Rent or medicine? Planning a special event or celebration?
