Wednesday, August 15, 2012. The Daintree, Cape Tribulation and beyond. The morning dawned bright and early for these happy campers at Ellis Beach, just between Palm Cove and Port Douglas. We set our alarm to greet the sun poking over the Pacific at weren't disappointed with a walk along the beach to start our day. Still homeless nomadic gypsies, finding our way from family to friends to more holidays and still making some big decisions. One can't rush these things. A whole lot of love lies in those Ythanbrae hills for us. Coffee in the gallery I used to work in, thoroughly enjoying our 'homecoming' to Yea. Our home for the unforeseen future is a Carry Me Camper. Ingeniously named 'Carrie' in a feeble attempt by Emma to bring some Sex and the City chic to our gypsy lifestyle! We purchased Carrie second-hand in mid-2011 and have modified her at various stages to best suit what works for us. She sits atop Matt's 2004 single cab Toyota Hilux ute (affectionately known as 'Luxie') but can stand on her own four feet equally as well for when we want to just take the ute and leave behind our 'home'.
