Why not ban them altogether if they’re so bad for you? Or put age restrictions on the sale of unhealthy, fattening foods like they do with cigarettes and alcohol. Buckets of KFC if you’re 18 years or over. Want a can of Coke? The best part of the whole obesity scandal? Mind you, this obesity crisis is nothing compared to the scanda...

South Africans in Los Angeles. From Los Angeles to Saba to experience an earthquake. October 6, 2009. So I go all the way from Los Angeles to Saba in the Netherland Antilles, a teeny island (5 square miles) in the Caribbean (not too far from St. Maarten) to experience an earthquake. What’s that about? Saba, a teeny island in the Caribbean. I’m not a diver but my very good friends, Lynn and John, own a dive center over here called Sea Saba. And Lynn is on the board of a non-profit called Sea and Learn.

South Africans in Durban. March 16, 2010. I adore visiting Jo’burg; something I’ve been doing just about weekly for the past month or two. Mainly because I get home feeling massively grateful to be living in Durban. Those poor landlocked sods are obsessed with traffic… and little wonder. Between the roadworks and the accidents, they count themselves lucky to make it to any destination in under three hours. Teleconferences on the move, perhaps? Filed Under: Durban Blog. Not that I would ever recommend trying to drive yourself in India, my hat off to our driver Saadji, who navigated us out of countless potential head on collisions- either with other drivers or cows in the middle of the road.
