Nichols Buttons: Cuff Links for Swinging London
http://nicholsbuttons.blogspot.com/2011/10/cuff-links-for-swinging-london.html
L Nichols 1909-1993 London button maker by his daughter. Tuesday, 11 October 2011. Cuff Links for Swinging London. Towards the end of the Sixties London started to Swing. And wonderful buttons gave way to washing machine friendly fastenings. My father saw it was time to move on so he started to look at the possibilities of costume jewellery. He began with cuff-links. He moved effortlessly into the new high style. He went into the dark Carnaby Street. Labels: glass cuff links. 11 October 2011 at 23:47.

Purl About Town: October 2013
http://purlabout.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, 17 October 2013. It's that time of year again when The Knitting and Stitching show rolls into Ally Pally and empties our pockets, but leaves us with a ton of inspiration and a big smile on my face. Rowans ball gown/ knit wear mash ups were beautiful and a really nice way of showing off the knits in a high fashion and sophisticated way. It's a look I'd love to rock to the office, but perhaps I haven't lost enough of my marbles yet. Must have been the fatigue setting in late in the day. At the sh...
