Crazy 5!: Ghana Day 4
http://thayneandkrystalsimmons.blogspot.com/2013/06/ghana-day-4.html
Monday, June 17, 2013. The neighbor getting water from the well. Those bricks were probably 30-40 pounds. Look at them! Some of the classes were taught under the mango trees. Just imagine when it rains. My neck wanted to break. I almost carried it all the way from the village to the school. My hubby is a champ! Digging it out to lay the foundation for the urinal. Trying to cool off. And it was only morning. There were only 3 classes that were covered by a rooftop. At their local farmer's market. Hi, this...

Crazy 5!: June 2010

Thursday, June 24, 2010. My baby loves came home to visit! I just want to take a moment and thank all the fathers out there who are excellent fathers and husbands! My husband is a wonderful man who works very hard. He makes it possible for me to stay home with our little stinkers :) I love him very much! And I definitely do not admire the work he does, but I surely appreciate it! He is a patient, caring husband. He takes the time to remind me EVERYDAY of how much he loves and appreciates me :) Aw! That d...

Hood Gang: Life at home....
http://garyandcamille.blogspot.com/2011/08/life-at-home.html
Monday, August 29, 2011. We are surviving here at home. Gary was on night duty last night for the first night home, and it was a bit of a rough one. Alex didn't sleep very well at all. He was fussing with his oxygen, wanting drink after drink and just not resting well at all. Gary was so sweet and let me sleep the whole night. It felt great to get 7 hours of sleep all in a row! Thank you Gary for letting me rest, even though today was your birthday and you should've been the one sleeping. Walking out to ...

Hood Gang: October 2011
http://garyandcamille.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 25, 2011. Wow how time flies! Ok, so I realize that I have not posted anything in almost 2 months. I am back to being a blogging loser. I will try to do a quick recap of the last 2 months and what's been going on here. Yesterday Alex had his check-up with Dr. Puchalski (his cardiologist) at Primary Childrens. Can you believe that tomorrow (Wed 26th) marks 9 weeks since Alex had his surgery, yeah, neither can I! Since surgery. This kid is a rockstar! He is such an amazing little boy!

Crazy 5!: Ghana Day 5
http://thayneandkrystalsimmons.blogspot.com/2013/06/ghana-day-5.html
Monday, June 17, 2013. Oh the tin can! Packing in like sardines for our 1 1/2 hr drive to our village. Let me refresh your memories. The roads were dirt. There were potholes. Oh, and let's not forget, there were 14 of us plus Pius and the driver making a grand total of 16 people in that van for 3 hours a day! Patty and I teaching school. The urinal is coming along! The men jumped in to give us a break for a moment. They were so adorable! Making more bricks using mortar. Their lunch break during school.

Crazy 5!: Ghana Day 6
http://thayneandkrystalsimmons.blogspot.com/2013/06/ghana-day-6.html
Monday, June 17, 2013. Ha ha so remember how the hubby washed our clothes the night before (such a sweetheart)? Well, he so graciously hung them up to dry outside. Awwwe :) Well, it rained. So, we hung them up to dry inside. Stomach is starting to feel unsettled by now. Trying to sip down a juice. Walking back to what they literally called the "Poop station.". Huge dung beetle mound. Right near the "Poop station.". There's a picture of my little shadow! Do you see their faces? Oh, that frog is poisonous?

Just Forever...: June 2009

Friday, June 19, 2009. Hmmm I Hate Making Up Titles. So this post has been in my mind for quite some time, and I was going to take pictures of everything that I wanted to write about and say a sentence about them, but since I am at work and bored stiff, and have never been good about taking pictures here it goes…. We recently purchased a new car, and I am absolutely and totally in love with it! Hiking is something that I have also enjoyed and I never knew that Steven also liked hiking, something that equ...

Crazy 5!: June 2013
http://thayneandkrystalsimmons.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Saturday, June 22, 2013. Ghana Days 9 and 10. Saturday was our group's last day with our village. They basically wished us farewell the same way they welcomed us in: singing and dancing. Purchasing material to make a baby carrier wrap thingy. I know I've said this already but they seriously adored Ron. We all did. He was so much fun. They were huge supporters of Obama. The young ladies did a special little dance number for us. We officially became members of their village. Thayne and Krystal Family.

Crazy 5!: October 2010
http://thayneandkrystalsimmons.blogspot.com/2010_10_01_archive.html
Monday, October 18, 2010. What we've been up to. Thayne and I wanted to go jet skiing before it got too cold, so we called up my little brother, Cort, to see if he wanted to go. Thanks to Karley, we were able to get him a blind date with a girl named Tana! We had a blast playing on the jet skiis at Benson Marina :) We laughed our heads off as Cort tried to wakeboard with a surf board.pretty hard! It was his first time ever trying to wakeboard or surf, and he actually did a really good job. I thought this...

Just Forever...: So You Think You Can Dance.... and then some....
http://stevenandkariann.blogspot.com/2009/12/so-you-think-you-can-dance-and-then.html
Thursday, December 17, 2009. So You Think You Can Dance. and then some. I love love love So You Think You Can Dance! I have watched this show since its founding 6 seasons ago. I was thrilled that Russell won! I thought that surely Jacob had it in the bag because technically he is amazing, he has such grace it confounds me. BUT Russell was the underdog that just kept fighting and fighting and while he fought he became an amazing dancer. I couldn't be more excited about America choice! Happy Christmas: I u...
