Welcome to the Nisqually River Forest Reserve. Website. NRFR is a private, rural community situated along the north bank of the Nisqually River about twenty miles west of Mt. Rainier National Park and five miles west of the small town of Eatonville in Pierce County, Washington. NRFR consists of over 1,500 acres of actively managed forest land. It is divided into 77 twenty-acre parcels, each privately owned with its own Forest Management Plan registered with Pierce County.
