The Noise in my Head. Trying to find the signal. Since 1960. Why Everyone is so Angry. Does Anyone Else Think it’s Odd… →. This Week’s Thoughts. September 6, 2010. Let’s pull back the curtain on the whole thing: if you believe that President Obama is either (a) not an American citizen, or (b) a Muslim, you are too stupid to be reading this. Get off my blog, and don’t come back. If you’re not sure: same deal. Lindsay Graham says that the. Look it up; it makes a lot of sense. Aside from the proven idiocy o...

The Noise in my Head. Trying to find the signal. Since 1960. Why Everyone is so Angry →. Are We a “Christian Nation”? August 28, 2010. Well, yes. And no. I just finished reading this opinion article. Set aside for a moment that key figures, Washington and Franklin among them, were Deists. Jefferson, whom Knight references in lengthy support of his notions, said it ain’t so, with respect to holding up Christianity as our nation’s “home religion”:. Therefore we are a Christian nation. Mr Knight is disingen...

The Noise in my Head. Trying to find the signal. Since 1960. I’ve been working in technology for 20 years, primarily in the area of mergers and acquisitions, but also as a startup CEO (three times). The Mosmans' Musings: Quilting Quarrels

http://thesummerandseanshow.blogspot.com/2010/04/quilting-quarrels.html

I am at a stale-mate with my quilt. I began quilting yesterday (quilting from a sewing machine can be quite difficult), and it seems as though the machine has temporarily defeated me. It decided to mess up the stitches and colors of thread, so the brown shows through on the cream and the cream shows through on the brown. Yes, I know you don't know what that means. I'm defeated for now, but I'll begin anew tomorrow. One the bright side, I am QUILTING it! Wish me luck for tomorrow! View my complete profile.

Knotweed Hill: July 2011

http://knotweedhill.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html

Thoughts from New England and the Road. Tuesday, July 26, 2011. Time to dust off the blog. We are moving Tokyo. And in a breathtaking act of procrastination I'm writing in this old blog instead of taking care of the myriad of details associated with the move. So, if we end up in some kind of immigration jail cell, you'll know it was because we ended up wandering aimlessly around Tokyo. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Knotweed Hill: Azabu Juban Fall Matsuri

http://knotweedhill.blogspot.com/2011/09/azabu-juban-fall-matsuri.html

Thoughts from New England and the Road. Sunday, September 11, 2011. Azabu Juban Fall Matsuri. Our neighborhood came alive yesterday and today with a Fall Festival (Matsuri). There are several neighborhood associations who set up portable stations to get ready for the carrying of Mikoshi (a portable Shinto Shrine). The picture above is the group closest to our apartment. Each group seemed like they were trying to be louder than the rest. Posted from my iPad. So glad you are doing your blog again!

The Mosmans' Musings: For My Valentine

http://thesummerandseanshow.blogspot.com/2010/02/for-my-valentine.html

It is always dangerous to try to measure reality against the impossibly high benchmark of fiction. Our most treasured romances, from Romeo and Juliet to Rachel and Ross (or even Monica and Chandler! Endure because they stand well apart from the normal, clunky, sometimes maddening reality of our own relationships. These fictional love stories stay with us, in all of their far-fetched idealism, because we want. Them to be that way. We prefer. Well, yes. But would it be BETTER? I'm not so sure. As far as I ...

Our little man in his bumbo with his sweet doggie hat! I am such a hypocrite. I get on people's case about not updating their blog- hello, pot calling the kettle black, anyone? Sean and I keep vowing to be more consistent (story of my life). Maybe one of these days I'll figure it out. Little gem in Ghirardelli square. OH. MY. GOODNESS! The Noise in my Head | Trying to find the signal. Since 1960.

The Noise in my Head. Trying to find the signal. Since 1960. Here’s Why Cutting Defense Should be “On the Table”. October 8, 2010. Interesting (and encouraging) that Tea Party senate candidate Rand Paul says that cutting defense spending should be on the table for discussion at this point. It’s a smart position, and here’s why: in the “new” war, information is actually as valuable (or more so) as weaponry. And the defense budget is so big that…. Does Anyone Else Think it’s Odd….
