Monday, 11 April 2011. Hello, my name is Norman Pillock and this is my diary. I did something terrible the other night. I'm not proud of it, but I must tell you what happened. I'd been up the Goat and Spanner, my local, and I must have drunk, conservatively, well, at least a hundred pints, and like an idiot, I decided to drive home. Monday, 21 March 2011. Hello, I'm Norman Pillock and here's my diary. Well, it was my birthday this week so I decided to walk up to the town and treat myself to a few drinks and a blow-out dinner. I popped into Fruities Wine Bar first, for a gin and tonic. I like to get a stiff one inside me on my birthday. I ordered my food, but when it came it was too hot so I told him to send it back. When he refused point-blank, I asked him if he'd consider blowing on my fish finger for me instead. Joke of the week.

She looked daggers at me and hissed, 'It's a pound, sir! How much is this, love? She asked the snotty assistant, and do you know what? The woman must have been a care in the communism patient or something, because she began to scream like a mad thing, 'It's an effing quid, an effing quid, you half-baked sodding turd!
