The Associated Press announced this month that the Walton Family would be donating $4.5 million to a University of Central Arkansas initiative that assists charter schools as well as rural school districts. The Walton Family Foundation has committed the money following a grant for over $400,000 that was pledged last year to establish the center. Northwest Arkansas is still a booming area!
