For the duration of the end-of-year shutdown (17:01 on December 15th, 2014 through to 07:59 on January 5th, 2015), a scale factor of 0.04 will be applied to all Internet quotas, irrespective of time of day. (In other words, the demand side management system will treat the whole shutdown as is does the early hours of the morning.). These changes apply retrospectively from the times mentioned above.

This update was delivered to computers at Rhodes via our Windows Software Update Service server, and has affected a number of computers on campus. There is currently no fix for the problem available from Microsoft. However, you can work around this problem by starting Outlook in safe mode. To do this:.

You will likely experience this outage as an ERR DNS FAIL or ERR CONNECT FAIL error when trying to access websites, or your browser may report that the connection has timed out or the site is unreachable. Somewhere that doesn't belong to my employer, and that isn't on. Exorbitantly expensive South African bandwidth. Ideally what I'm looking. For is a virtual machine at a commercial VSP hosting company. I can't. Really justify having a whole machine to myself and the VSP idea represents. A pretty good compromise. And I want my virtual machine to run.
