Suzanne Warburton (nee Jeffares) Blog. Thursday, July 16, 2015. Suzanne Warburton (nee Jeffares) Blog. Saturday, May 24, 2014. I like looking at how far they have come to helping children with cleft lips and palates. Did you know that they used to think that someone born with a cleft palate was going to be retarded. Since they have started fixing the palate and lip early and they do early intervention no one thinks that a child who has a cleft lip is destined to have a problem learning and talking. How amazing is that? Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Suzanne Warburton (nee Jeffares) Blog. Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Echolalia - echoing words. People ask about echolalia (repeating words heard) often -. From: http:/ www.albert-einstein.org/article handicap.html. As a matter of fact, the boy was, and remained, a reluctant talker for quite some years, and, until the age of about seven, used to repeat his sentences to himself softly, a habit which contributed to the impression he might be somewhat dull.". Our SLT made us this great folder, she made all the PECS with just photos initially but when she realized Edward could read and loved words, she took it away and came back with the words underneath. Suzanne Warburton (nee Jeffares) Blog. Monday, October 27, 2014. I 100% believe in early intervention, not necessarily any particular kind. 1) because our kids aren't getting a natural raising (society backs off and does not understand enough for it to be natural). And with other children who are severe and not had early intervention we will never know their potential. Links to this post. Friday, October 24, 2014. First ever diagnosed autistic person.
