The Conservation Committee is concerned with the preservation and restoration of natural areas in the Central Okanagan and beyond. This particularly applies to the loss of wetlands. The Hiking and Bicycling Page. Activities begin in the spring and continue until the snow flies, when skiing and snowshoeing start. Carpooling is encouraged for general conservation reasons and because we sometimes must use bad roads or arrive at places with limited parking. Hikes usually involve some bushwhacking and/or off-trail sections. Guests are welcome to join one hike before becoming a CONC member. A waiver form will be required. Waiver Form.
