Often used as accents in darker floors, they also make fine stand-alone flooring choices. Ash can resemble oak quite closely, but it is lighter and more uniform in color and has a more muted grain. It would make an excellent floor for an art display or other situations where a high quality, but not eye-catching, background is needed.
